General Information
1. Where can I find the new shop?
You can access the webshop at: https://vdm.praesentstudio.com/
2. Are all sections available as before?
The section “Karriereschmiede” is currently unavailable as it is being completely revised. We will inform you as soon as it is back online. All other sections are available as usual.

Registration
1. Do I need to register again?
Yes. The previous user accounts were not transferred. Please register once using your VDM Metals company email address (...@vdm-metals.com).
2. What is important when creating my user account?
The field “Supervisor” is mandatory. This ensures that the approval workflow functions correctly.
3. What happens to my data (data protection)?
All data is processed securely and used exclusively for order processing.
Orders
1. How can I order using a cost center?
Billing is handled by VDM Metals. Please note that ordered items must be business-related (professionally justified expenses).
2. What do I need to do if I use a cost center that is not my own?
In this case, you must coordinate with the Controlling Department beforehand to avoid delays, questions, or booking issues.
3. What happens when I place an order using a cost center?
The order goes through an approval process. Your supervisor will automatically receive an email requesting approval. If they do not respond, a reminder will be sent.
4. Can I also order for private purposes?
Yes. For private orders, please register using a private email address. Payment is possible via PayPal. The contract partner is Präsentstudio Soennecken in Hagen.
5. Why do I see unrealistic shipping costs?
The displayed shipping costs are only placeholder values. The final amount will be calculated after the order is placed, based on the size and total volume of the shipment.
6. How long does delivery take?
Normally, delivery should arrive within one week – provided the order has been approved.
7. What do I need to consider when ordering clothing?
Clothing items are not kept in stock. They are produced only after being ordered. Delivery time: 2–3 weeks.
To reduce shipping costs – especially for international orders – deliveries are combined with other ordered items whenever possible. Please plan accordingly.
Giving Ordered Items as Gifts (Cost Center)
1. What do I need to consider when giving a purchased item as a gift?
If an item is passed on without compensation, it is considered a taxable gift – either to employees or to external recipients. The following obligations apply:

Documentation requirement:
It is essential to fill in the corresponding Excel file every month. It contains information about the gifted items and their recipients. -
Notification of the Tax and HR Departments:
The completed file must be forwarded to both departments promptly.

The file is attached to this post and can also be found in the shop under the relevant section.
